Toravaig House is situated in an elevated, south facing position on the Sleat peninsula on the Isle of Skye, enjoying views out across the Atlantic waters of the Sound of Sleat. This Hebridean gem has, many times, won the title “Scottish Island Hotel of the Year” at the Scottish Hotel Awards. With its comfortable lounge, open fire and baby grand piano, this is a gorgeous place to begin your evening after a day exploring our beautiful Island. Toravaig offers an elegant dining experience in its 2AA rosette restaurant which offers the best of local produce.
The accommodation in the hotel is made up of nine individually designed contemporary bedrooms.
There are many activities, craft shops and castles to visit and enjoy on the island, and our experienced receptionists will help you tailor a holiday to remember on the beautiful Isle of Skye.
Toravaig makes a wonderful intimate wedding and honeymoon venue where your hosts go that extra mile to ensure your stay is most memorable.
Toravaig offers nine individually designed, contemporary styled and furnished ensuite bedrooms, all named after Scottish islands and embellished with crisp white bedding and luxury toiletries.
The rooms are decorated in soothing palettes which reflect some of the kaleidoscope of colours to be viewed on Skye’s hillsides, mountains and coasts.
Open to the public, Toravaig’s 26 cover award-winning 2 AA Rosette restaurant, the Iona, is the delightful setting for enjoying dishes created from the freshest local produce. Whether they’re here for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner, guests are in for a culinary and visual treat.
Iona (yet another Scottish island, of course) is intimate, warm and immaculately presented. It’s the perfect place to appreciate skillfully cooked food prepared from the finest ingredients which the larders of Skye and its neighbours can yield.
Most of the produce comes from the island’s own hills, gardens, rivers and surrounding seas. On the menu you’ll find choice venison, lamb and seafood, and vegetables and herbs from local gardens. Each dish is individually and meticulously cooked by our team of talented chefs.
Tying the knot could not be more special than on romantic Skye, known as ‘The Misty Isle’ and the setting for many films. The wild, breathtaking scenery makes the perfect backdrop for those precious wedding moments.
The Sonas Collection is a small group of boutique hotels on the Isle, comprising Toravaig House, Duisdale House and Skeabost House Hotels. Each has a unique character and qualities that lend themselves perfectly to form the backdrop to the most romantic day of your life.
Our in-house wedding team are passionate about creating perfect weddings and have many glowing reviews that testify to that.
As a small family-run business, each wedding is personal to us. We invite our wedding couples to treat the hotel like their home. Nothing is too much trouble and we are here to make sure their day plays out exactly as planned. We love when the wedding party takes over the hotel exclusively so they can truly relax and enjoy a ‘house party’ atmosphere.
